From qualification to first place
I helped my team qualify for the national Domijada tournament, where we won first place in 2024. The qualification stage also brought recognition for fair play.
Beyond engineering
About me beyond work
My work is important to me, but it is not the whole of my life.
Outside engineering, I spend time outdoors, volunteer, play team sports, explore unfamiliar places and ideas, and join community events with friends. These activities give me distance from screens and keep curiosity connected to real experience.

MEPI, hiking, and volunteering
I completed the Gold level of MEPI, the Slovenian form of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award. The programme brought together long-term goals, physical activity, volunteering, new skills, and outdoor expeditions.
Hiking remains an important way for me to step away from normal routines, explore unfamiliar places, and spend meaningful time with other people. MEPI strengthened my discipline and persistence, but it also showed me the value of cooperation and shared responsibility.

Exploring Ireland with GAHA Slovenia
I am part of Društvo GAHA Slovenija. In September 2025, I joined a Gold MEPI expedition in Ireland that combined hiking, shared planning, unfamiliar terrain, and responsibility for the people around me.
After completing the expedition, I continued exploring Ireland with the group. We travelled through Killarney, the Cliffs of Moher, Ballyryan, Galway, and Dublin, experiencing both the landscape and everyday life beyond the hiking route.

Goalkeeper for DD AMS
I played futsal as a goalkeeper for the DD AMS team in the student futsal league. Regular training and competition gave me a direct experience of trust, communication, and shared responsibility.
People and new ideas
Community, technology, and communication
I enjoy joining hackathons, conferences, and community gatherings with friends. I value these events as places to encounter unfamiliar ideas, meet people outside my immediate work, and learn through shared experience.
Security communities
I attended BSides Maribor and continue exploring community-led technology and security events where practical experience is shared openly.
Hackathons and conferences
I join hackathons, OTS conferences, and local meetups with friends. I use them to explore subjects beyond my current projects and build relationships around shared curiosity.
Public communication
I co-hosted the 2025 graduation farewell ceremony at my student residence. The experience combined preparation, public speaking, humour, and responsibility for guiding a live event.
Perspective
Exploring without turning everything into work
I am drawn to unfamiliar environments, whether that means a hiking route, a new sport, a technical event, or a subject I have not encountered before. I do not treat every interest as another achievement to optimize. Some activities matter because they create distance, perspective, relationships, and memorable experiences with friends.
